What happens after high school? Student 5.0

What happens after high school?

Student 5.0!

    • College? 2-year? 4-year?
    • Straight to career?
    • Apprenticeship?
    • Military?
    • Something else?

If you (or someone you know) would like help figuring this out, Student 5.0 is a no-cost peer mentor program for high school seniors to plan what comes next.

Students — what comes next depends on what you want to do. With COVID-19 still disrupting building access, this all-virtual program can be a big help.

Carmine & Frank Mangini Foundation MVP Scholarship

MVP scholarship program

Each year, a number of students are selected as CFM MVPs by the Board of the Mangini Foundation. They are chosen based on academic and extracurricular achievement and for demonstrating a strong commitment to community service, as well as acceptance into college. They also must reflect a high level of character and a strong determination to succeed. This scholarship is one of the hallmarks of the Foundation’s mission to increase opportunities for under-resourced students.

Awarded in the month of June, selected MVPs will receive a laptop computer and software package to help prepare for college.

Since 2003, The CFM Foundation has awarded these scholarships to over 280 selected MVPs from the Hartford+ community.

MVP scholarship criteria

Required items to be included with application:

  • HS Transcript
