CCC Summer ROBOTICS and Computer Science Program! (SCHOLARSHIPS available to Bulkeley Students)
Program #1 Robotics:
Students will work individually and in teams to build and program VEX IQ snap-together robots. Students will learn STEM and engineering skills, including visual coding, through fun, hands-on activities. Participating students are provided lunch each day throughout the program.
August 2 – August 6, 9am – 3pm @ Capital
Cost: $200 (FREE for Hartford Students!)

Program #2 Programming:
Students will develop computational thinking and problem-solving skills through completing computer science activities and labs. Students will complete activities independently and collaborate with peers on a team projects.

Scholarships
Need-based tuition-free scholarships are available for Hartford and East Hartford residents.
Transportation (Program #1 only)
Participating students must have their own transportation to and from the college.
Student Drop-Off begins at 8:40am. Student Pick-Up is between 3:00 and 3:30pm.

Who Can Apply?
The Summer Computer Science Program is designed BOTH for students with no knowledge of computer science, and for students with previous knowledge. Previous knowledge is not required – what is required is an interest and eagerness to learn.

Hartford Public School students and family members are invited to schedule an appointment or just walk in to the Connecticut Convention Center on the dates and times listed below for your FREE COVID-19 vaccine. Open to everyone ages 12 and older. Ages 12-17 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Dear Families,
The health and safety of our students remains our top priority. We are happy to offer our families the opportunity to have their children aged 12 years and older an opportunity to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine.
We will hold a vaccination event this week so that all our students who are eligible (both in-person and remote learners) have the opportunity to be vaccinated. Vaccination event details, including the consent forms which must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the school, will be provided on Monday.

Summer Credit Recovery Program
Registration for Summer Credit Recovery Program is now open. The Summer Program will start on Monday, June 28, 2021, and end on Thursday, July 29, 2021. It will be held in person at four of our high schools (Hartford Public High School, HMTCA, SMSA, Weaver High School) Mondays through Thursdays.
All students are required to complete an online registration in order to access the summer program. You must register by May 14, 2021. You will need the student’s ID number (lunch number) to complete the
registration. Please note that there will be no registration deadline extensions.
