MVP scholarship program

Each year, a number of students are selected as CFM MVPs by the Board of the Mangini Foundation. They are chosen based on academic and extracurricular achievement and for demonstrating a strong commitment to community service, as well as acceptance into college. They also must reflect a high level of character and a strong determination to succeed. This scholarship is one of the hallmarks of the Foundation’s mission to increase opportunities for under-resourced students.

Awarded in the month of June, selected MVPs will receive a laptop computer and software package to help prepare for college. 

Since 2003, The CFM Foundation has awarded these scholarships to over 280 selected MVPs from the Hartford+ community.

MVP scholarship criteria

Required items to be included with application:

• HS Transcript
• College Acceptance Letter
• Student Aid Report (incl. family income)
• Yearbook Photo

The application will also require students to answer 4 short essay questions.
