At Bulkeley High School, we believe in learning through action, discovery, and community. That’s why our three pillars are Learn, Experience, and Embrace. We hope you join us on excursions to explore careers and pathways of Public Service and Computer Science. 

The Public Service Pathway Experience gives students an exciting opportunity to step outside the classroom and explore three key branches of public service: Law and Government, Education, and Public Safety. This program offers a firsthand look at the many careers in these fields, helping students connect their classroom learning from Leadership in the Community and Introduction to Leadership & Public Service to real-world experiences. But don’t worry—you can still join even if you aren’t in those classes! Throughout the program, you’ll work on impactful projects that directly serve the Hartford community, putting your skills and knowledge into action.

For those with a passion or just curiosity for technology, our Computer Science Experience is equally exciting. Aligned with courses like Gaming Concept Fundamentals and AP Computer Science, this pathway brings students face-to-face with tech companies, certification programs, colleges and various career paths. It’s your chance to explore how computing shapes the world around us and discover how you can be part of this exponentially growing field that continues to change the world.    

Both pathways offer immersive field trips where you’ll explore career opportunities and discover your local community in a new way.
