Bulkeley High School

Approximately 50 students and family members attended Bulkeley High School's Open House on 9/27.  They enjoyed food as they entered, and were greeted by Principal Espinosa in the gym, pictured above. From 6 to 7 all enjoyed a presentation by Dr. Noel Casiano, a graduate of Hartford High, about the importance of social emotional learning for students and families.  He explained that when student's struggles go unrecognized they struggle both academically and physically, but when they develop the skills to cultivate positive relationships and care for their emotions, they will find success and confidence instead. A raffle was held, and prizes were distributed as the many  families, students, and staff in attendance returned to the 2nd floor to meet, talk, and enjoy our community. We all had a great time!
