On March 13 and 14th, students from both North and South attended this two-day conference that spoke about the importance of the Declaration of Independence and asked the main question of whether it is still applied to today’s society.

One of our Bulkeley students, Gaige Ramirez explains “I learned a lot about what freedom meant to other people but also how it's not something you can simply define. It's a complex concept that means something different to everyone and might never be experienced by the whole world.” Take a moment and ask yourself if it is still applied to today’s society.

As you think about the following question, many of our talented students also wondered many things and asked many questions amongst their peers from different schools within the different groups they were assigned, many even spoke with CCSU professors when they were put in their breakout rooms about their assigned topics that correlate with the Declaration of Independence.
